"Entering my 60’s and 70’s aging joints and muscles caught up to me."
My family physician recommended physical therapy and I was referred to Sheryl Selch. In the intervening years Sheryl has helped resolve issues from head to toe including rehabbing a knee replacement. Sheryl has continued her professional education earning several certifications and has incorporated those new learnings and insights into her practice. She has a wonderful ability to find the source of problems. Problems whose symptoms seem remote from the source. And she has the ability to explain the issues and connections in layman’s language. All this happens in an atmosphere of professionalism and empathy.
To say that I admire Sheryl as a physical therapist is an understatement. I would recommend her unreservedly to anyone.

"I highly recommend Sheryl!"
Sheryl has been my physical therapist for several years. There are several reasons why I keep coming back:
1. Sheryl has a thirst for improving her expertise as a physical therapist, attending classes and workshops to hone her skills and it shows…
2. Sheryl is uncanny in her knowledge of the human anatomy, teaching and helping me in understanding what she is accomplishing during our sessions.
3. Sheryl is able to ascertain the primary areas needing work in order to release another area of the body, giving it a chance to heal.
I have had several injuries she has assisted me in healing from, when other types of treatment were unsuccessful. Healing from a frozen shoulder, knee meniscus problems and lower back pain, I am indebted to her care.

"Saved by Physical Therapy!"
My orthopedic surgeon scheduled me for a total knee replacement. After decades of playing volleyball, my meniscus was worn down on the inside of my knee. I was in pain, and could not sleep at night because of the discomfort.
So . . . I arranged physiotherapy from Sheryl Selch. She worked on my foot, ankle and knee. She gave me exercises to increase my leg muscle strength.
A couple of months later at my pre-surgery appointment, my surgeon asked how I was getting along. “Great!” I said, and explained that because of my physical therapist and dedication to exercise, I was no longer getting spastic knee jerks at night, or pain during the day. He said ethically he wouldn’t feel right cutting into me. Sounds good to me.Paul Orlowski

As an athletically active adult, I have seen many physical therapists for various issues and injuries for over 30 years.
During that time, I have received many of the standard modalities of PT treatment, such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, heat and cold therapy, etc. Then, some years ago, I was hit with multiple issues over a short period of time, including significant knee pain, that among other things, forced me to stop cycling. I was told by my doctor that I would have to come to terms with giving up cycling, and then by an orthopedic surgeon that I was not a candidate for knee replacement, and my options for improvement my knee pain were limited. My aging body had seemingly decided that “enough is enough”, and that it was no longer able to continue some of the athletic activities that had been a significant and enjoyable part of my life. To say that I was dejected by this turn of events is a real understatement.
Fortunately, however, a friend had experienced another approach to physical therapy that went well beyond the standard treatments mentioned above, and Sheryl Selch was recommended to me. Bar none, Sheryl is the best PT that I have ever worked with! She has a very holistic approach to treating her patients, discerning the root causes of issues which can sometimes be far away from their symptoms, focusing on movement patterns and skeletal imbalances, releasing fascial and visceral restrictions, and rewiring the brain to adopt new and improved functional movements. Sheryl is a great listener, empathetic and extremely knowledgeable, and has explained much to me about human anatomy. She is a dogged detective, and keeps peeling away the layers of the onion until she uncovers the problem that has caused dysfunctional adaptations.
I am very grateful to Sheryl for her expertise, empathy, sense of humor and professionalism. Her treatment approach has enabled me to cycle again, now pain free. That has been a huge blessing in my life and I would recommend Sheryl to anyone in a heartbeat!
